Be part of a community of people who enjoy baseball’s history, culture and its ability to connect people of all generations. This publication is whatever our members make it. Participate in the comments section, or support this work with a free subscription.
As we are a volunteer group, new content, news and events hit the site and subscribers’ inboxes as often as we are able to make it happen. That also provides and opportunity for aspiring baseball writers who “get” our unique niche in the online content business, and want to get a “byline” writing and researching for us.
If that sounds like you, just contact us at classicbaseballworld@gmail.com
Help youth baseball thrive…in Africa!
You will also notice throughout this site that Classic Baseball World is proud to partner with and support a unique and timely effort to help make a meaningful impact by helping turn the rapidly-growing interest in baseball on the continent of Africa.
This tab on our site is dedicated to introducing our community to Africa Baseball Project (ABP). a not-for-profit organization started in 2020 by Gift Ngoepe, the first-ever African-born Major League player, and Mario Signorello, a 20-year baseball executive who has run youth leagues, high school and college tournaments in the United States and beyond.
Gift and Mario are joined on their board of directors by MLB Hall of Famer Andre Dawson, former MLB standout catcher and World Champion Charles Johnson, and Chountelle Bullock, a successful strategic management professional and founder of CBULL Enterprises.
That Africa Baseball League tab explains more about that 501©3 organization’s active existing activities and partnerships throughout Africa, and their first public fundraising campaign, initiated in January, 2025.
Classic Baseball World and Africa Baseball Project will be combining forces to bring the heroes of the classic baseball era together with our online community, through virtual and live events, and curated fan experiences. There’s also a link throughout the site to donate to ABP.
